HTU in Japan is a two-day educational event for high school students*1 who will be the major players in the next generation, to communicate to them the pleasures of learning science and technology and importance of the semiconductor industry as well as to stimulate their interest in taking a science-related educational course or pursuing a career in the high-tech field.

HTU consists of lectures and hands-on activities related to semiconductors, factory tours of the sponsor companies, panel discussions with young employees of these companies, and opportunities to learn and think about a career path in the semiconductor industry*2.
